Window mystery, Sherlocks needed

At least 6 months ago (could be a bit longer) my passenger window stopped responding to the driver's side window controls. It would still work from the passenger side window switch just fine. This was the only window having any kind of issue. Randomly yesterday I tried it and voila, the driver side window controls worked perfectly for the passenger window! Tried again this morning and it's still working good as new.

What would cause this issue/what would cause it to randomly be fixed after 6+ months?

Did you ever check the connector itself? Maybe loose connection that got jarred back into place?

I did not, it's been winter obviously and I was planning on doing that once the weather got nicer (no garage)

I completely understand, I'm in NC and its just now getting warm. I'm not sure how the connector is set up on the window switch, if it's just one big plug that connects all the switches then that kind of kills my idea, but if they are independently plugged in then that could still be a possibility. Also maybe one of the pins is loose or something

I had the same issue right before I hit 200k miles. The passenger side window would work sporadically with both the drivers switch and passenger switch.

Replacing the passenger side switch solved the problem. It was a cheap and easy fix.

Yeah if the issue comes back I'll probably do that. The weird thing is that the passenger side switch has worked fine this whole time
