Took the pups and went to one of our favorite back country spots to meet some friends and enjoy time around the fire. Had a wee bit of snow that we woke up to for the hike out. At least 7" and still coming down when I hiked out. 4-Runner is Awesome never once did I feel unsafe driving down the side of the mountain on clay with over 1/2 foot of fresh wet snow on top of it at very steep grades.

Well.... It dropped under 90 degrees today here in south Texas. Of course it took until 7 PM to do so. Looking forward to our annual 4 days of winter! Probably not all in a row, though. (And by winter I mean when the temperature drops under 50 degrees....)

It is, I brought it in from Japan for a friend of mine. I have a business bringing in specific vehicles from Japan and setting them up for off-road use for customers across Canada.

Glad you are enjoying it and glad your runner handles it well. What tires do you have? I live in upstate NY and love winter, when we get snow. Two winters previous to last we had temps below zero and many storms that dropped several feet of snow. I backcountry ski and snowshoe in the mountains which is one of the reasons I bought my runner. Last winter it was 40ish and rainy. It sucked! lol I hope it is cold as (hell?) this year and we get hammered with white stuff. I hope my stock Nitto AT's will do the job as well.

The green one is mine it is a Hildeberg from Sweden, vestibule is as big as the tent and it is light for a 4-person, about 7lbs so perfect size for myself, girlfriend and 2 Akitas. Can store our gear, have plenty of room, even cook in it if it is bad weather. When we climbed kilimanjaro a couple years ago, I saw several of them up there handling the winds fine. Have used it lots back country camping and a month long trip in the Yukon/Alaska canoeing the Yukon River, they are great tents.

Well is an understatement.. i bought them based solely on their snow performance and am very very pleased. living in colorado and see pleeeeenty of snow.

check out duratracs! They work great for me in NJ and in snow storms in the catskills, killington, and tremblant!

Lucky guy! I'm from Buffalo so we're no stranger to snow but we usually have to wait till late October-November to get anything that accumulates. Two winters ago we got seven feet of snow in "Snovember" as it's affectionately referred to. SO epic. Didn't see a plow for a week, when they finally came to my neighborhood that's under a mile long, it took them twelve hours to get from the county road to my house with the pay loader. My neighbors had just had a baby and were running out of food so the newborn's father's father (who owns a construction company) sent one of his guys to make a one-car-wide path to get out. Way off topic, but one of those things you'll remember forever.

Is that the Hilleberg Nallo GT? My hunting buddy has the same tent, we use it for sheep hunts in northern BC for the past couple season. Has to be the best tent on the market, we were stuck in it for over 72 hours straight through a bad storm and no issues what so ever.

It is, its the 4 person, so lots of room for 2 people, 2 pups and gear. Great tent and from Sweden, may be a bit biased lol being I am of Swedish Heritage. Also got my splitting ax & camping/hunting ax from a blacksmith in Sweden. Had to stray though and got my camping/hunting knife from Norway though.
