Winter tire downsizing?

repo

I know the advice is to downsize to a narrower tire for more pressure on the ground, but would it make much difference on a 4runner? I have been wanting to go UP a size to 265/75 because I am going to lift 1-2" soon. I have a '99 with the tall stock suspension. Tirerack says I should get 245/75/16.

So I'm thinking of actually going up a size from the current 265/70/16 dueller revo2 to 265/75/16 blizzak. Then in summer time I will replace the 265/70 revo2 with 265/75 duratracs. Basically the question is what size blizzak should I buy with 2 or 3" lift.

New tires

Good day to all! I have a little trouble. I urgently need winter tires on my Toyota 4Runner 1998. The last tires did not live even a season and immediately became bald. Now I want to buy a new, good quality, to keep the roads well? be like a "glove". Maybe anyone have any thoughts? There is one caveat: this machine will have to go out of town, and there are always a lot of snow, bumps, holes. I would be grateful if you will advise something from your personal experience. If not difficult to tell can you advice me where can i buy them?Thank you for your helpful answers. Wish you smooth roads and more gasoline in the tank.
