Wiper assembly Ebay score

Just got my new wiper assembly, purchased off Ebay for $13.03 (free shipping). The listing was slightly vague so I was concerned that it might just be for the rubber insert. I'd abandoned the stock part and added a hook to the arm so I could simply attach an "off the shelf" 12 inch wiper. Found it in a misc box of wiper parts at NAPA...good score. I'll add a picture of that transition piece in case one of you guys want it. Wouldn't mind finding a new "nub" at some point and maybe some fresh attachment screws.

I'd be interested in the transition piece you used.

I was blown away when I went into checker for the first time and couldn't buy an off the shelf wiper. Ended up going to the dealer for the insert...

These are actually pretty cheap from a lot of sources - Amazon has them for about $10 shipped - and I think I even bought my last one from the dealership for around $12.

Hey Monty, I didn't realize these were common and cheap (or I wouldn't have posted about my awesome deal lol). Most of what I'd seen was just for the blade insert. Anyway, I'm still pumped up.

Here is a couple of shots of the "hook" that I had on there.

Here's close up. About the only knock on it was that neither my stock screws or the closest replacements I could find were long enough to attach the nub.

It's all good - good info for people to have. I was also curious to see the hook style adapter. As far as the "nub", I'm sure it could be easily cleaned and painted... along with the screws. SEM makes a great paint for stuff like this: Trim Black | SEM Products - search "SEM 39143".
