In trying to help another poster on here today, I stumbled across a truly awesome link:

This is a .pdf of the factory Wire Harness Repair Manual 1991-2005, a total of 418 effing pages. For all Toyotas of those years, it shows every stinking connector, organized by type and number of pins, so that you can find the part number for that elusive connector you need. Toyota only sells the empty housings, and this document also has a table listing, for every stinkin' connector, the part number for the repair pin/wire combo you need to make up a new connector together with the empty housing.
Finally, it has the instructions for the arcane art of unlocking and disassembling all these connectors.

Finally, there is this gem of a fact that I was unaware of after 33 years of owning Toyotas:
Every connector part number STARTS with 90980-. Each connector is stamped with another five digits somewhere. To get the part number of the connector housing, just put the five digits after 90980-.
This has been a minor epiphany for me. I have never seen this mentioned in all my years on here. I hope it helps some of you.
