Daaaaammmmnnn. Just keeps getting better and better. I like "The Bandit" as well. Simple, not too many syllables for us "slower" people lol, and it suits the bad ass nature of this new sleek design. And of course it credits the idea originator himself... win win.
I'm pumped to see a 40" lightbar on that front cross bar with a small fairing behind it. Would be a great setup as your "expo" rack makes it hard to run a fairing AND lightbar (cutting holes in the fairing for lights to poke through defeats the fairing's purpose IMO).
I love my "expo" rack but also see myself lusting after this new creation. Damn you.

Thanks everyone, I'll try to squeeze in a few more updates soon and for those curious the price would be the same as the original, expo, design.

All done with the prototype. I went ahead and bed-liner'd it, guess i was bored... Took it for a test drive and the wind noise is there, but not nearly as much as with the expo design, something you could get used to in a day really. As shown, it'll come with one adjustable cross-bar which can be quickly removed all together if you have no plans to use it for a while. Same overall measurements as the expo, 41x84 and although not shown, will use the same forward support system as the expo. Now that i've built this for my wife, she says she likes the 3/4 length better (thanks hon'), so I'd like to sell this prototype as is since i'm out of 4Runners to put roof racks on:biggrin1: PM if you have interest. Sorry, price is the same as the "expo", 595, only this one is obviously bedlined already, normally it would be bare.

Lol, I have this particular rack for sale in the classifieds, it has no place to go now and needs to go!
I think I might have to order 1. I have no sunroof it would need a full length rack. I think I know of 1 other person who I can go in on shipping with. I think that new rack is going to be a big hit. Congrats
