I don't normally like tube bumpers on 4runners, but I have to say those bumpers look great. I LOVE how the hoops turned out on the front. If it was plate, I'd be in love. Great work!

Please let me know if there is anything you can't do with tube and a welder? Bumper looks so sick! Are we going to be treated to a custom set of sliders aswell? I mean your on a roll haha!

Last update before paint, i have everything welded in that i planned on welding in. got the outside, top plates in and welded in flat plate in the center. i'll simply cut a hole for a fairlead when i do finally get a winch. i think this is a pretty good example of what i think of when i hear "hybrid" bumper. its been a ton of work but im really happy with how it looks.

What thickness of plate did you use for that front piece? Also how are the LED turn signals working for you and do you have any pictures of how you wired them up?

Front plate was 3/16. Led's are doing great, I just wired them into the factory wiring (cut and spliced) and changed the turn signal relay to get rid of the fast blink. At night time they look awesome through the mesh.

Great work man, both those bumpers look great! If I were to put hoops on my ODL bumper, they'd look like that. Sweet bike too.

I would be forever greatful if you made a weld yourself kit. that's a beautiful bumper. I've been wanting to make one but have no way of making the bends

Thanks guys. I've been pouring over my old pictures of this build and actually plan to do it again. I like the hybrid idea since it's a little less common and am looking forward to seeing how I can tweak things.

Hard to say really. Theres a lot more plate bumpers out there right now. As cool as they are, I think I'll start with making these over again.
