How many people purchased their 4runner not planning to do much of anything to it and now are in the middle of things they never thought they would? Me for sure. Thanks guys! My wallet isn't thankful, but my truck is getting better all the time! So far I have tints, new wheels, tires, lift, air lift and gotten rid of the westin steps. On order: Schrockworks bumper, sliders and trim to bring the sides up on the LE, 4x4 labs rear bumper, winch and roof rack... geez. Never thought I'd be here doing all this, but :lol:

Nothing to show yet except lighten bank accounts... When I get some stuff on, I'll post it. Right now it is in concept mode and dollars out the door mode.

I had no intentions of building my rig to what it is now, just wanted to get out of the whole import slammed car scene lol. My old roommate is the one to blame, bought the 3rd gen I was planning on buying, started building his, so I got jealous. Lets just say its been a rough 3 years so far for my wallet :ybrick:

I never planned on anything but nerf bars and bull bar. Well I got those and thanks to this forum couldn't wait to get rid of them! Lift on first...westin nerf bars GONE...Nfabs on....285/70/17 Duratracs on....to be continued. Never thought the boss (my wife) would let me get this far. Wonder what else I can convince her that we "NEED"....

Nfab steps installed, Bilstein 5100s and Air Lifts in the box waiting to install. I have already picked out my Duratracs. Guess the illness just goes on. Enjoying every bit of it.

The day I brought it home I broke the rear cargo covers off to access the storage compartments. So much for that.

I'm in the same boat.... had no idea this dern truck would end up consuming my weekends annnnnd bank acount.

It is fun though... especially taking the truck out through stuff that would make most people cry for mommy and enjoying the fruits of your labor.

I blame T4R.org. I bought the Exact 4Runner I wanted a few months ago because I didn't want to do anything with it. New wheels and tires are on the way. Bilsteins next and then a retro-fit for the headlights. I tell myself I will stop after that. Like that will happen!
