Would you buy these used tires?

My current stock tires on my 14' TE are almost worn out, but not quite enough for Bridgestone to warranty them. Following a tip from another member, I checked craigslist and came across this used set of Wrangler MT/R's in the stock size for $180. They claim 70% tread left. I wouldn't buy these tires new because of the road noise and that I don't need and M/T, but my stock tires are pretty much at the point where I don't feel comfortable taking them on trails. I can't help but take a good look at them for that price. I think it could be a good option to allow me to get back out on the trails, with enough tread to hold me over for another year until I can afford a lift and 285's.

When buying used tires look for various things:
First DOT #, usually the last 2 numbers are production year. 4 years or more on a tire and I usually pass on them.

Look for signs of dry rotting, patches or plugs, uneven wear like feathering or cupping.

Look at the inside bead for missing gauges or wire showing.

I usually look for factory take offs that have less than 1000 miles on pavement in a mud terrain or all terrain design

If they are in good condition, have that much tread actually left and are less than 10 years old, I would buy them. I saw the pic and thought those were what you were buying and thought you were completely crazy :fear:
