That ad has been floating around here for months. The truck was bought off eBay for $20-something and someone is trying to flip it for double. GLWS

I’m starting to wonder if the dealership that’s been trying to price gouge this particular 4Runner is bribing people on the forum to post about it every month. OP are you being paid to post this or what? There’s a new thread on this every month or two like it’s earth shattering news. Maybe it is for people that aren’t on here as much?
I would not pay that but these things are climbing in price.. I bet I could not find one for what I paid for my current one 10 months ago and now up here prices are nuts for good ones. within 400 miles of me is only 1 3rd gen for sale right now....at 16k.. These 3rd gens are great, how many Cherokees or ford exploders of the same year do you see out there.
..but just a few thoughts on the one listed in this post....38k+ miles....I know things dry out...how come it has a new suspension, new timing belt etc. got the wrong wheels for the year I think, but someone will buy it....an ass born for every seat

Wouldn't surprise me if the dealership is bumping :bowl:this to get it to move. I'd laugh at anyone dropping that kind of case for this thing but they exist. You could build a more efficient truck for half the price of this thing. Even at $38k it's still very laughable but hey if you smoke that Oregon whacky tobacky and got the coin then I say go for it. :frisky:

Lots getting listed in the 10-12 range now…… I saw one on Facebook in Texas yesterday, 2 Wheel Dr. and $10,000…..just frickin stupid. Sport model I guess, but just dumb. It’s just all bonkers now. There’s an F150 lariat extended cab long bed for sale in Montana right now for 59k$……. Clown world I tell ya. Just plain cartoonish……..

Lol no, the vast majority of things sure, but Toyota has already canceled tons of parts for our cars - some of them crucial. Right off the top of my head our glass headlights are a major one. I believe the 01-02 guys get it worst and have more parts discontinued than the rest

We just sold our 2017 F-250 Super Duty for $11k more than I paid for it brand new. The same day I had an offer to sell my 4runner for $10 dang thing has 242k miles on it! The market is insane.

It could be way, way worse. Someone with a better memory than I would have to chime in as there are definitely some notable parts to mention - but all-in-all it's pretty impressive how much they still make for a 20-25 year old SUV. Toyota still makes (or at least appears to still make) a ton of odds and ends you wouldn't expect; I routinely get surprised on here with some of the p/n's that come up for little connectors and sensors you'd think they would've stopped producing ages ago, but still have in bulk for a few dollars a piece. If I had to guess the saving grace is there's real good commonality with these vehicles and others of the time, which are all immensely popular outside the US as well, so there's good incentive for Toyota to keep producing parts. Not long ago Toyota actually re-opened production for AE86 and Supra parts purely because OEM stuff was getting scarce, which is pretty badass if you ask me

The availability of parts has really made me want to build a Supra some day. 3rd gen 4runner and 4th gen Supra is my ideal garage.
