do you know what color/manufacturer vinyl that is?

Its matte black from 3M. It looks shockingly grey came out better than I had hoped. When its wet it definitely looks black.

Third, don't get all butt hurt. You yourself said "You either like it or hate it". I hate it.
Forth, its say "suck it" not "say suck it".
Sorry to offend your delicate sensibilities but it looks like something I would expect to see on a Dodge Neon in a high school parking lot. Maybe on a darker vehicle but on the white it just looks like gaudy and craptastic.
Get yourself one of those "Piss On Nissan" decals for the back window and slap a bunch of TRD stickers all over it and you are good to go.

I've seen Plasti-dip and wrap done tastefully (conservative is the key) and I've seen vehicles where it's totally overdone and looks like shit.
Huge black decals on a white vehicle look like shit.
Picture this:
I put a huge white decal across the hood and doors on my Attitude Black T4R and I guarantee 99% of the people over the age of 25 would say it looks like shit. And they would be right.
Now there is the grey 4Runner posted above with wrap down the sides. It looks good. It flows and looks like it belongs there.
There is this thing called flow, symmetry, aesthetics. Harley Earl got it. I get it. Some people don't.
It reminds me of the Honda Civics you see with fart cans and huge down-force spoilers hanging on the trunk. Zero flow, symmetry, aesthetics all for the sake of being different. Different is good. Being ugly is not.

I think what makes it look "off" is the bug shield. If remove that, it would make it look better.
The bug shield alone looks fine, the hood wrap alone looks fine, but both together in my opinion makes it look a little off.
In any case, still looks great, it is not like you lowered it and put 22" rims on it.

That Porsche looks like a puffer fish from that angle. And what's up with the washing machine stripes? She's about to place that line WAY off. MEASURE TWICE, HOME DEPOT!

I had mine done to a lesser degree for the purpose of stopping glare off the scoop. I ended up liking the look though I was not sure I would and it accomplished the intended purpose.

I've been considering wrapping my hood (the whole hood) in matte black.
Plan to add roof & ditch lights that most likely will reflect, though no hood scoop.
My concern is how it will hold up in the AZ sun. I wrapped the main bars on my roof rack. That will be a good test.
Local shop wants $1,000 to clear coat the center flat and the sides semi-flat.
