I have one available that's in perfect condition, but it's from a 2001 model. They fit perfectly into the earlier 3rd Gen's, but look a little different because they have been revised for higher strength and smoother movement.

Did this part supercede the old version? I bought new OEM ones for mine and they had a slightly different finish and design but fit perfect.

Yes, these superceded the '96-00 version. The confusing thing is that they have the same part number as the old ones did.
