WTB: Seatbelt Extender

Looking for two short seatbelt extenders. My kids are in booster seats and they have trouble using the regular receptacles. I have asked the dealer and they want to measure me, but I wouldn't qualify for extensions. So... I am left to see if anyone has some that they would be willing to part with.

Go to your dealer again... I believe they are required to provide them to you for free.

Actually, I called before going to see if this was something I could still get. I was put in contact with a manager of some sort who made it seem like I had to have a need for them before they would be ordered.
Are you telling me that I can just requested them and not be denied? I suppose they can only tell me "no" and I will have lost nothing.

just an FYI, I had to get a pair of extenders for the same reason, kids in seats. mine were from the dealer, some they got out of a different vehicle. they are FORD extenders. I believe they may all be the same. so that may open up your search a bit.

Go to your dealer again... I believe they are required to provide them to you for free.

i think that's only if you qualify for them. I/E overweight, or proportioned in such a way that without them the seatbelt is dangerous.

I asked for some when I bought and they told me they couldn't not throw in any more stuff on the sale.

somewhere else I had read that you have to go in to get measured(as the OP stated above) to see if you qualified for the extenders.

its quite possible the dealers didn't know wtf they were talking about.
they don't want you using the extenders unless they are necessary, due to liability reasons im sure. the only way to know that, is to get measured....

Techno.... I found a site with same price BEFORE I put this up. I got so excited that I wasn't going to get killed for spending more money, while making it easier to get the kids in and out. (Perhaps it would even get me laid!) I called to verify because it sounded too good to be true. Long story short... I had to go in for measurements before the order would be filled.

I will just go in tomorrow and ask nicely. At 5.5 ft 180lbs, I cannot justify the "need." I will notify of the results.

Just got back from the first dealership that I called. It wasn't the same person I spoke to over the telephone and the questioning wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. The guy asked me what I was going to use them for, I said: for passengers in the back seat, not 3rd row. He didn't measure me, but didn't know how to order them. He is supposed to sort it out and call me in a couple of days... We'll see what happens.

I got a call from the parts department... the extenders are in! Score. I just have to finish up the last 24 of a 72 hr work stretch, before I can get them.

I suppose the advice that I can give is: Don't call, just go in and ask. I acted like I "heard that Toyota might have extenders" and "any help I could get would be great."

I picked them up without any issues and they are great!

***EDIT***

The extender by the ruler is a different part number: 73399-35010. It is used for the back seats and 3rd row seats and works great. The one that is still in the package (35110) is wrong. I called the parts department and explained that I needed the 010-back seat extension and was told they would call when it came in.

I didn't know, and perhaps someone could benefit from this, so forgive me if it seems trivial to some.
