Tell you what,

Our navigation is garbage. Austin, TX - Durango, CO... Trying to route me on paths that increase travel time 3+ hours. Come on! In Google Maps I trust. :noidea:

But this Navi system really suc's if you ask me. Very hard to use, does not give you the true closet's way to get to destination, and that is if you can even put in the destination your looking for! I just use my iPhone. It works way better. A shame that they can make such a great vehicle, but fail when it comes to the Navi. system.
on my 2016 T4R the nav system does not show speed limit on the display. I set this to show , but nothing appears 700 miles on it.
I have a Garmin nav unit that shows this info which IMO works better than this OEM nav unit .
also this has a year old nav program in it. I was finding that the exit # where not showing correctly on a road that had been changed last year.
how to update this or correct it ? thanks for any help .
No nav system is perfect. Ford users complain about Sync, Audi/VW users complain about their RNS systems, Jeep users complain about the MyGig and Uconnect systems, etc so on and so forth until the cows come home. Some show posted speed limits, some show traffic, some show weather, some show fuel prices and some show fingerprints while others do not.
Point is.. don't expect nav systems that are perfect. They get you from point A to B? Then it's doing its job....and that's what it was designed for.
And they break as does Microsoft Windows, Mac OSX, Android operating systems, etc.
And yet Garmin, TomTom, even 'generic' setups like Audiovox GPSs work without fail, mostly.
I agree that the Etune nav is shit. Absolute shit. I sold my cheapo Garmin 205 after buying the 4R but I wish I hadn't.
My entire nav / audio locks up at least once ever hour that it's on and it either powers itself down and restarts, or I have to hold the power button down for 10 seconds or so to force a restart.
It only shows the speed limit while navigating to a location and you have to hit the info (i inside a circle) icon twice to get the speed to show up. the info icon is to the right of where it tells you how far to your destination.
Thanks Lester. It looks like I might not have the current versions of software. I wasn't able to download the software files from the document![]()
