I can sell you any car in the world for $49.95/mo with zero down.....It's just that you'll be paying for it for the rest of your life, if you ever finish paying it off.
I don't know as much about leases, but it amazes me at how many people do this when they finance a car, not even taking into consideration the life span of the loan, the interest rate, or even the most important part, the out-the-door-price of the car itself.
Maybe for $500/mo, they are allowing you a higher mileage allowance or something? You can probably negotiate it down with the caveat that you won't be able to put as many miles on per year or something.
If all else fails, they're always leasing V8 Tundra DC's around here for $259/mo, instead.

I agree if with you in that if you are BUYING a vehicle you need to use the price of the vehicle, not the payments. However, when leaseing, granted it still goes off the price of the truck, but i really dont care if the sticker is 35k, 40k or 45k, as long as my payments are where I want them to be. Beleive me, i didnt walk in and say i want to spend $500 a month. I actually told then i wanted The limited for the same $396 I am paying now LOL
