The bad: short light zone, no additional throw; and terrible in dark, rainy weather.

I'm finding similar results. The short drive I took after the install tonight went into a small valley where there was a little fog. The new bulbs had me freaked out a bit because I couldn't see as much or further than I have been able to even with the Sylvania bulbs.

Did you get the new Xenon Depot Extreme LED lowbeams? The ones with diodes on both sides?

Installed the Xenon Depot phillips 4300k kit very easy install with all the related posts I was prepared.

The first impression is the light output is significantly improved but the light seems very yellow. What kind of colour shift can I expect? When they are first turned on they are in the blue range but seem to "warm up" to yellow from that point.

I am also curious about this. I also installed the Philips 4300k a couple of months ago. I read the color would shift to around 4700k after 100 hours? I wonder whether there will be any perceptible difference at that point compared to a 5000k HID. I like the light output of the Philips 4300k but wished the color was whiter too.

Try adjusting the light a little higher, but if ultimately you're not happy with the light output then I would suggest looking at HID. Let me know if you want to go that route (they will be brighter), and I will do my best to help you out.
[MENTION=90192]2chains[/MENTION] & [MENTION=118816]xpress[/MENTION] - The "color shift" is not a huge change. It's visually noticeable, but it's not like going from 4300k bulbs to 5000k bulbs. If you're looking to completely eliminate any "yellow" or "warmer tones" then you may be happier with 5000k. Keep in mind though that higher kelvin temperatures do not produce as many lumens as the bulbs you currently have.

Yes I did. I got the link from [MENTION=12905]XenonDepot[/MENTION] after finding the LEDs which I guess were discontinued. The ones I got have the flexible heat elements to dissipate heat. Is there an adjustment I'm missing? I hope that's the case.

I went to one of the local mountain this morning (Glendora Mtn Rd) at 5:30A to test them out. The light is thrown well left and right but where it matters I'm not getting much in usable light. Several of the corners I went into I'm not able to see beyond maybe 50 feet (if that). I get the feeling I've pointed them a bit too low, but overall the light output / intensity isn't quite there.

LOL! I just got done saying maybe I've pointed them too low. I will try again after dark tonight and see if that helps. Bluntly, I don't think the light output is great on these bulbs, unless I've missed some crucial setup step. Would you please do me a favor and send me a link to the HID equivalents? I'm looking for the 5K to match my Philips but hoping to get less light scattered to the sides and more concentrated straight ahead. Thank you!

[MENTION=12905]XenonDepot[/MENTION] I'm having trouble finding the image I looked at last time but I thought I saw something that said HID was ~3,500 lumens and that your new LED Extreme bulbs are ~4,000 lumens. Is that right? Are the new Extreme LED's brighter than the HID's?

Question. When I cut the hole on the dust cap for the harness to go through. The hole diameter that allowed the two pin connector to properly pass through seems to be too big for the rubber grommet. Thus not creating an airtight or water tight seal at this point. What would you recommend?

Cant remember the exact size but its a bit bigger than a quarter

I used [MENTION=129593]MTN4RNR[/MENTION] s guide to drill - which was a 1 1/16th hole through the cover using a #9 step drill bit:

Which ended up being a perfectly tight fit (it looks a bit smaller than the grommet size which is what you want so it can expand and fill to create the seal.

If the cover is cut too big you may just have to buy two replacement covers (if it's causing moisture to get in) Toyota P/N : 8113524160 (looks to be about $15 bucks each).
