XM Price Increase!

Now here's another thing from the previous thread.....do not pay by credit card other wise it automatically renews in a year at the higher going rate....pay by check....they will charge you $2 extra to bill you....just pay it and mark your check with the radio ID #

Just a heads up that this doesn't always work. I did this for a good deal on a 3 month offer and afterwards XM tried to keep sending bills and threated that I owed them money. I had to make several calls to get it resolved. I was very explict when I agreed to the 3 month package that I wasn't interested in having an automatic renewal but they still tried. It was one of the sleaziest business practices I have ever seen and I will never give them another cent.

Pandora, Mog and bluetooth streaming are good enough for me!

mines still working free :hiding:
Last month, my wife called XM to add the new 4Runner to our account since the 90 days free was running out. It turns out that Toyota never told XM that they sold the truck and I was getting XM for free. Unfortunately, our call clued them in and they started our 90 day free clock. If we hadn't called them, we would have had free XM for a long time.

Yeah, I suspected that was the case. I wonder how sophisticated the tracking/records at XM are. Like, could XM "time out" after a set time without registering? I would think someone at XM would clue in that there are a bunch of 4Runners (and many other vehicles too I'm sure) that have "never been sold"?

I bought a 2010 Corolla S almost two years ago and it still has XM free. I did not get so lucky with my 4Runner or our Matrix

Called and canceled on my wife's venza today, they offer $94 total for a year, I said no thanks, then they offer $25 for 5 months. I said I would think about it
