XM - Recent Renewals?

i had 5/20 and called to cancel, because it was expired and they charged me 34.99/month. she offered me 6 months for 34.99 and told me they dont have 5/20 at this moment.

So this didn't turn out to be the case. I was misinformed about the 2 years free. They cut off my subscription after 3 mos, but without the nav traffic trial. Long story short, after an hour on the phone with them, I got a new 3 month trial of both radio and traffic and at the end of that a 12 month subscription to radio and traffic for $125 ($77 radio and $48 traffic). Probably could have done better, but after an hour on the phone, I was worn out.

Still seems to be a decent deal you got. I think a few here have said they've gotten 12 months for $77. Your extra is "traffic," I'll try that 12 months/$77. deal myself in a couple of days, don't need the traffic. :thanks:

My trial is ending on 7/26, and I got the renewal letter with their standard rates. I just called them and told the American guy who answered that I knew a bunch of people who had special plans, and mentioned them- $77/year, $20/5 months, and $34.99/6 months. They guy told me since I mentioned all of them, pick one and he would renew it at the rate I picked, with the current channel selections I have now. I picked the 5 months for $20, it came to like $22.something with tax. I'm not a math guy but I think that's the best deal of the three...

I wanted to add internet access as well, but he told me to wait until my trial was over and the plan kicked in, then call back. Its like $3 a month, which is worth it to me.

I called the number on my renewal notice- 800 547 8118. I was really polite too.
 
Mine was due to expire on 7/20/11, but reading all you guys getting these deals, I decided to call myself, and yep, just got the 12 month $77. plan, no traffic, but all the channels I currently have on radio.

My trial includes traffic, and I specifically asked if the plan I was buying included all the channels I currently have, and he said yes.

I'd be double checking that...at least for the folks that did the $77 plan. "Channels" may mean the traffic channels that are offered for some of the larger cities....but I'd be surprised if it included the separate traffic feed directly to your nav system.

When I did this 4 or 5 months ago, I was able to get the $77 deal for all the channels, but then had to pay another $50?? for the feed to the nav system. I maybe off on my exact $$ since I didn't scroll up to my previous post to double check.
 
Ohhhhhhh, ok, I misunderstood what traffic meant. I thought it was just the traffic channels on the radio. I'm not as awesome as I thought I was.
 
is there a link to this promo? something you get in the mail? something they offer when you call? interested for my other vehicles I'm running sat. radio in.
 
I bought Sirius lifetime a few years ago.it's for a portable/external unit. I was told I could transfer my service to another radio for $75. since I've only had my truck for 1 month, I'm not doing anything yet.

If they sent you a bill, just call the number on it, and ask for the 12 months $77. I believe there is also 5 months for $20., you save, but gotta call back after 5 months, I'm sure. :thumb3:
 
man i've been getting hassled from XM non stop for the last like 2months. stuff in the mail, and phone calls. I believe the last time they said i had won a special offer or something for 1 year for like $77 bucks like the guy above. I forget. I told her i dont have that headunit anymore, and i think she said she is going to take me off their G D list.
 
$77 for one year on my last renewal. Tell them you got something that said win back in your email and they will hook you up.
 
When I moved my account to the 4runer they gave me $45 credit insted of extending it three months. When I renewed the first girl could not give me my current rate of $80. So I said I wanted to cancel and she connected to someone else that did give me half price rate and applied the credit so I got the next year for $37. I've done the cancel thing the last few years and they always give me the same rate but I wonder how long that will last.
