Ordered a few things.
Universal fog light harness for use on the oem fogs in the new bumper
Din mount custom rocker switches to replace the push button adhesive switches the PIAA harness came with.
And a Weller soldering kit- i will be learning to solder for the first time and want solid connections on my light harnesses.
A sack hammock for camping trips this year.
I also started painting the replacement front bumper with a little inspiration from the 5th gen TRD Pro paint scheme.
A little sneak peak but that gives you an idea. I used satin black but it seems to be more glossy than expected. Hopefully once it's out of the basement, and in true daylight it'll look more dull

Rig looks good. Not sure if you made a decision on the wheel/tires yet but I vote for the Methods. But I may be bias, hah. :biggrin2:
Also, are 01's without sunroofs that rare? I had no idea.. mine doesn't have one either. :yo:

I guess lacking a sunroof isn't THAT rare...
I'm still leaning towards the methods.
I won't get them and look into having 17s until I know the 265/70/17 Cooper st maxx's are on discount tire biannual sale. If they show up march 1st with $200 off as expected, I'll pull the trigger on them and the methods- but maybe not the con6s???
Unless your BOL wants to hook me up with a set? I've read your build thread and drooled over the Steelie-vibe yours has.

Nice stance! Ever thought of clear corners? I think they work well on millennium silver and would draw even more attention to the color in the wheels.

Gave my millennium silver front bumper a little TRD vibe. 4 coats of rustoleum professional satin black paint and primer. 2 coats of duplicolor automotive clear.
This has been the first and biggest mod I've wanted to do since purchasing it back on 2016.
Hopefully tomorrow I'll bolt it on.

As much as I like my Baja utility rack, I discovered 1 flaw last night.
When hauling a couple 4x8 sheets of plywood, there is no access to tie down points because all the crossbars are covered.
Luckily i had previously ordered twice of many light mounts as I needed last year.
Enter the GS power clamps.
I drilled the hole out slightly larger to accept a ratchet strap s-hook. They are powder coated aluminum with stainless machine screws. There is also a silicone sleeve to offer surface protection to whatever you are mounting to.
At $3/ea I think they are a worthwhile investment to add additional tie down/mounting point to any rack or bumper.

So I got my bumper installed.
Wrong color. It was hard to distinguish until you step out of the direct sunlight. The seller told me it was millennium silver but it's not. I believe it is generic silver that was only offered as a trim color for the bumpers flares and side trim on limiteds and SR5s. (It's nowhere near dark enough to be thundercloud though)
It is noticeably a shade darker. Look at the picture in sunlight vs the shade and see the difference.

I have the standard SR5 fat lip bumper with plastic top pad and lower valence.
I will purchase a new bumper shell from eBay ($75 shipped) and paint the shell with paint I already have a surplus of.
Duplicolor adhesion promoter
Duplicolor Toyota millennium silver
Duplicolor automotive clear
Retrofit the oem fog lights over to my current valence.
End result will look something like the 00' silver Highlander edition bumper

Easy fix on the bumper. Dupli color makes millennium silver rattle can that's an exact match. 3 solid coats of base and 3 coats of clear and you got yourself a millennium silver bumper. I knew it didn't look like millennium silver when I saw the picture.
