So the connection that crutcgfield sent me for my pioneer deack, doesnt fit my factory harness. Just wondering if its best to hard wire it into the factory harness? Or if i can fond the right connection somewhere else. I can do the work id just have to find the wiring diagram. Any insight guys?

I have an 02 sport if that makes any difference

i just replace the headunit on my 1996 4runner. I ran into the same problem and found out you need to REMOVE the factory amp. The amp is located below the factory stereo. The wire harness that goes INTO the amp will hook up with the wire harness crutchfield sent you. Other wise if you try to hook up to the output side of the amp it will never work. Your new headunit will have more power tha n the factory amp and should soundbetter. Good Luck

ya dont go chop stuff up like the other guy said unplug the amp you will be left with two plugs
