Yet another 'leaning' question

I've seen plenty of posts concerning how to correct front end lean (front lower than back). What I haven't found is where everyone is measuring the amount of lean from. The rocker panels, frame rails, etc.

So where is the best place to measure the amount of lean so I can take it into account when I install the lift?

Just in case you do some more searching, that "lean" you are speaking of is called "Rake" in the jargon of automobiles. I can't speak for all, but I measured mine from a level floor, to the top of the wheel well, at the center of the arch, both front and rear. And then check left and right, more then likely, that is where you will find a "lean". On many of our vehicles, not all, the drivers side will lean a bit more then the passenger side. Be Safe.

Is it guaranteed that the cut of the front wheel wells is the same as the rear? If not, then measuring from them is a relative measurement and only tells you how much things have changed after lifting.
 
You're comparing left and right, not front and back. So exact cut is irrelevant since you're comparing each side of the axle to its partner.

Jtraskell corrected me, I'm interested in measuring rake, not lean so it's front to back
