What Bilsteins did you get, the Tundra or the tacoma? I removed my shock assembly in my garage and drove to the local Midas. They removed the springs from my old shocks and installed the springs in my Bilsteins for 20 bucks. I would do that if you could.
I'm pretty sure the Tundras... I had Toytec assemble them using Tundra coils (and I'm pretty sure they knew what they were doing). I'm going to double check them anyways. I'm pretty sure the guy at the shop I took them to this morning was looking for a place to adjust them while still on the truck (which these Bilsteins don't have).
The way you mentioned above I think will probably be the way to do it. I was hoping not to have to pull these off and back on myself, to be honest, and let someone that had better tools do it for me.
