When there are so many mods that you want to do, that you go to subscribe to another thread with a write-up on one...and you realize you forgot that you'd already done so.

Edit: I should clarify most everyone ignores me... haha. Sometimes it's awwwwkward!

After I bought my 4Runner I had to get a friend to go get my old car I was selling to him. On the hour and a half drive I pointed out every single 4Runner and also saw my twin. By the end of the ride I think he was tired of it but I was so excited I was finally in a 4Runner. And a highlander edition at that.

My mechanic. The guy who owned the car before me put a crappy after market one on and when I got the check engine light for a bad cat, I took it in to get it replaced. My mechanic was going to replace it with one basically the same as the dealer one but way cheaper then he found out that the code on the cat had to match this code inside the hood which only the dealer sells. He said that since California is setting the standard for the rest of the country, its emission laws are way stricter.

Thank God I live here in Reno NV. We run a Carbureted open header (Cut offs) 65 stang around here and no one who cares to stop us and throw an emission law in our face.. lol

First of all CEL for bat at are 50/50, most of the time its not the cat at all, second, all vehical before 2000 can use carb legal cat.

What is CEL? If that is the code then it is P0420 and it says something about a bad cat. And you are sure about the before 2000 thing? because that would be awesome because I still have not replaced the cat after months of the light coming on and off and that would save my bank account from being drained. CEL= Check Engine Light
P0420 is most likely a O2 senor in bank 1
They cost 50 bucks.
