Zero Point Calibration and other similar procedures

Ok, here's a question.

I recently (out of need) learned about the Zero Point Calibration procedure.

Are there any other reset procedures like this that the 4R's need from time to time?

The reason I ask... I found this for sale.

It's like $4 shipped. I was thinking I could build a little box and connect wires to little buttons, like a button would have leads connecting to the pins used for the ZPC procedure, and other buttons to other pins if there are similar reset procedures for other items.

Thoughts, Ideas?

That's a good idea, I'm not sure if there are other procedures that use similar shorting techniques, but it would have been a lot easier to use that instead of two pieces of copper wire like I did the other day.
