No such thing as criminal proof (or criminal prood, for that matter). If a guy wants in, he's going to get in. You drive a very blingy truck - if you want to reduce the chance of the truck being stolen or broken into, scale back the flash. The rack and the lights and the hilift and the limbrisers and the cb antenna and all that just scream "I have expensive toys in my truck". If you like how the truck looks like that, great, but be aware that thieves like how the truck looks like that too. I think your anti-zombie grills will make it more likely to be broken into, not less.

For theft prevention, low key is key.

Do you even english bro?

JK :P I have a feeling that those grilles would just get in the way of everyday actvities with the truck, and as stated above, they probably will not prevent someone from getting what they want..

Luckily they took my bug out bag over the expensive tools and sht mounted everywhere. I hae since removed all the tools and roof mounted shit. Minus the lights. Thanks for the link though.

i have yet to have my 4runner broken into. i have had other vehicles broken into, but not this one. i think the key here is to keep things out of the prying eyes. DO NOT LEAVE THINGS IN PLAN SIGHT. thieves like opportunities, they like easy targets, and they like sure things. they dont like taking any more risk than necessary, and if they are unsure of the reward for their risk they are even less likely to take the risk -basically if they cant see it, to them its not there.

i have a couple of things i do with my 4runner to keep it safe.

1, i almost never leave things out in the open to be seen other then the car seats.
2, i have tented windows that makes seeing in much harder if i ever do accidently forget something inside.
3, if i must leave something in my runner of value, i always put it in the rear, and use the cargo cover to cover it.
4, i always try to find a well lit, and well traveled area to park it, and do not leave it in sketchy areas unless i am within view.
5, i have an alarm with a blinking led light -i moved that light to the top of the steering column cover to be very obvious to anyone looking in.
6, if all that fails i have lojack. -now lojack will only be useful if they take the truck as a whole, but its better than nothing.

Ya thanks mate. I've since removed everything off the car. Nothing's in or on it, minus the lights. But hey, take em, their halogen!

(x) Alarm led (and actual alarm but who can tell the difference)
(x) Serious tint job
(x) rear cargo cover
(x) front windshield sun reflector
(x) Truck Club
(x) Don't park in the Ghetto

Never broken into (knock on wood) in over 10 years of 4Runner ownership.

From the outside it just looks like a 4Runner you can't see into.
