I got my wife’s 4 Runner a friend! My daughter flipped her Jeep, so we had to get her a “
new” vehicle. This one looks almost new. We are now 2 Toyotas to 1 Jeep. I wish Toyota would make a two door truck or suv! I found a FJ for $49,900 near me! [emoji51]

I machined an adapter plate out of aluminum to replace the cigarette lighter socket in the dash with a 1/4"-20 thread to install a Ram mount. It only sticks out from the dash 4mm but recesses back into the hole left from the socket another 6mm to give it plenty of thread strength. I didn't want the phone up in my normal line of sight and haven't used that 12V outlet in 5-years now and have wanted a solid phone mount forever so I don't think I'll miss it. It's also nice that the USB outlet is right there to plug in the phone for charging. The only thing it somewhat blocks is the rear defrost button but you can still reach behind it. I bough the short arm from Ram but I might try the medium arm out and see if I like it better.
I ran some forest roads last weekend and it was very stable.

Got tired of ratchet strapping so I finally machined a mount to attach my traction boards to my roof rack out of some scrap aluminum I had. These interlock into some bosses molded into the bottom of my boards with the idea to locate them in place to help prevent the retention knob from loosening. I've only done highway driving so far but the knobs have not backed off yet.

Got the Carista dongle and app to turn off the seatbelt alarms and eco bar on the dash. Also changed up the way doors lock on movement and window up/down with the key fob.

Had to loosen the header bolts, manifold brackets and drop the muffler down to have room to get it lined up during install. Took a while.
dang I got lucky lol. Bolted up as if it was on there from the factory.

Wanted lights under vehicle primarily for a background lighting source when dispersed camping, but I guess for use on trails at night if I ever end up there, which honestly is pretty infrequent. Plus, had been a while since I'd done anything to the vehicle.

Ha yeah that's what I was expecting but this truck is coming up on 200k miles so that's the way she goes. I was also driving around for way longer than I should be with one of those flexible exhaust repair pipes clamped on one side after a downstream cat was stolen (along with the o2 sensor) so I think that manifold probably warped a a bit.

Spent the morning cleaning mud off that smelled like a combo of dirt, cow patties, and sewer.
But yesterday was spent with a buddy from CajunYotas running around a portion of the Kisatchie NF, doing some scouting and finding remote camping spots.
Being next to the Taco made me feel like I should step up to 34s or 35s sooner, rather than later. I was looking a little short with a 3in lift and 33s... but the ride in mine was much better than his, thanks to my Dobinsons IMS. [emoji38]

No, biggy, sorry for the late response. Here's a pic of my Chop, was done at Stellar Built in Sacramento, and I don't have my alignment papers sorry. 315s may rub with some flexing, while the 305s would be safer if you don't want to trim

Ordered a set of original size Rokblokz in OD Green. Viper cut and caster adjust and i'm STILL rubbing the mud flaps in full lock (275/70/17 and -10 offset). I want to go bigger, so I guess this has to happen. Don't really like the look of the Rokblokz but hopefully they grow on me.
