Broken GMRS Antenna
A few months ago, I put a GMRS radio in. Later, I put on the KC wire hider so I could relocate the antenna from my hood, to my roof/rack. Well, hitting some trails, I didn't realize the antenna magnetic base had been hit by a branch, and the antenna was dangling over the side. Not seeing it, I shut the passenger door and heard a "ping" Damnit, broke the antenna. Midland had a new one on the site for $19, but there are no connections directly on the antenna, so I had to rerun the entire wire. It is zip tied in place now, in hopes of avoiding this again.

Went to their site (which has almost no info other than pictures it seems) and found them. Those are really nice. Would have to look in to fitting a -18 offset on my rig. I've done a viper cut already and still need to adjust or remove my mud flaps.
If you don't mind.. what have you modified to fit that offset and tire size? Apologies if you already stated.

Swapped out the stock GrandTreks for Falken Wildpeak at3w’s. So far they are great. As quiet if not quieter than the Dunlops. Great in snow too.

Took off my RCI Transmission and Transfer Case skids.
They are well built, but after 2 years of the kind of trails I do, they were mostly ding-free, and when I go to change diff fluid and lube drivetrain, it's just more work to have to take them off, so all done.
Anyone near Seattle that wants them can have them for a tank of gas.

I cranked my Icons up to the max recommended from them. For the front; Body Mount chopped and welded, viper cut, and removed the front mud flaps. I asked the alignment shop to set the caster more positive as well. Rears I added the 3 inch heavy duty springs which may not be necessary, currently I have a slight rate. but with the bigger size I am going to have to get a rear bumper to fit my spare anyways, which should re level it out

Really appreciate the reply and the pics. I've been putting off doing a body mount chop due to my location and not having found a place I trust. Was saving up for Konig Countersteer but these DX4 wheels are much more affordable at discount tire with my military discount.

2 Gallons of Fluid Film
Not today but back in March 2021 when my 4Runner Premium was brand spanking new - everything was shiny I put 2 gallons of Fluid Film everywhere underneath and wherever rust might try to find a home. Took down the spare and sprayed into the bumper area, everything I could see and even where I couldn't. A lighter spray on body parts in the engine compartment. Put it up on my son's trailer for easy access. A year and 9K miles later, everything is still mint. Weill touch up this fall.
My apologies if this is a duplicate - I wasn't sure if I posted this correctly and couldn't find it anywhere.

Found a ridiculous deal on new Fox 2.0s on Amazon for $295/per coilover and couldn't pass it up. Picked up matching 2.0s to match and some 1" Cornfed spacers for the rear to complete the 2/1 lift. Hope to have it all on in the next few weeks.

It was just one set, but each coilover came from a different place. It was right back to normal price after my order, so my thought is that each dealer had only one and wanted to get rid of it or something. Sometimes Amazon just has some random super low prices which I've found a few times in the past. Patience sometimes pays off on there.
It does say there is a used set at $225 each in this link. Not sure how used or if it was a return of some sort.

I see that you did the pinch weld mod. Able to show pix of how aggressive you went with the BMC and attach a pic of the alignment? Notice any rub with the 35s? Sorry about bombing you with these Q's but just wanted to make sure I did mines right. Currently on 285 on SCS 17x8.5 -10 and 1.25 wheel spacers and doing a BMC this weekend. Ditching the spacers and going for 17x9 -38 and upsize to 305 but would do 315 if its not too much work.
