Curious why they stripped the SC.

I talked to the seller in the link above.He seems to be a good guy. It sounds like a really solid truck. It's got some interesting history and will be exactly right for the right person. After talking with him, I don't think it's quite right for me. There's no doubt that it's worth what he's asking. The supercharger and the 7th injector kit cost what he's asking for the whole thing. I think I'm looking for something w/a bit less character. I genuinely think it's a steal for the right buyer. Thanks again for the link. The quest continues.

It's a first gen TRD SC. The second generation (mf'd by Magnuson) TRD SC is black and is still available (minus the TRD logo) from and supported by Magnuson.

That's not a first gen SC. That is a 2nd gen with the powder coating stripped. The first gen (well technically 2nd gen) chargers were much more square.

You're correct. I actually didn't look that closely. I just saw gray and thought 1st gen(3.4). Good eyes!

Yeah, I glanced at the pic and did a double take. Thus my original question. The coating on those 2nd gens are pretty durable.
