02 running build thread (pic heavy)

new bumper!

so yesterday me and my buddy installed my Outdoor logic bumper. install went pretty smooth a few small bumps but nothing major. its not even on the driver side bc of where the person backed into me. but it still looks lice i got the hid lights wired up with the wiring harness it came with. the turn signals just spliced in that was easy. the big problem was getting the fog lights to work. they came with no wiring kit just 2 small wires coming from the lights. im still trying to get this wiring figured out we have a good ground but it keeps blowing fuses. i have wired in a in line 30 amp fuse but it blows it every time.
any way on to some pictures.

overall so happy to get this done makes the truck look way more aggressive.

thanks! its a slow build since i am a college student hoping to add a few more things to it by the end of summer.

I feel ya man, still in school myself, but you are making much better ground than me! I'll catch up this fall hopefully. Keep up the good work!

Oh, and a small favor. If you are by the 4runner one day with a camera handy, can you snap some pics of how the bumper mounts? Curious as to how much work it would take to fit something like that back on my runner after having to cut the rusty ends off the frame rail a little.

it mounts to the frame. by bolts. has another mounting location as well ill look and try to get some pics today for you.

if you look to the outside of the frame rails there is the body mounts to the outside of those is the second bolt up location

Eh. That is what I was afraid of. On of mine is totally tweaked from a fender bender. Thanks for the picture and explanation!

mine was bent to the whole reason i got a new bumper was bc someone reversed into mine. the frame cap was bent so i had to bend it back before i cut it off

Great transformation! I love that front bumper. Nice job on the paracord wrap too. It may have been me you got that from lol.

How much did the bumper run you? My younger brother backed into my Runner and now I need one...

Sorry to steal the thread from the OP but you can get a pretty nice bumper from 4xinnovations for about $850 shipped that's who I went with. Adam is a really helpful guy and he is getting me some stingers here shortly. I'd look them up;) okay back to the build

haha trust me I know, his shop is right here in platteville where I go to school and have been up there several times drooling over the stuff he has going on. I was really just interested in the outdoor logic because of the DIY option, because I am just a poor college student and that is the cheaper route lol

Oh yeah! Haha sorry I remember you mentioning that in my build. Maybe you can talk to Adam haha se if he could get you a special deal on a DIY type thing, there's a couple other places that have DIY. Just can't remember them right now. Might be CBI.
