mY 06 SPORT V8 HAS A WHINE BETWEEN 40 AND 80 MPH WHEN YOUR FOOT IS VERY LIGHT ON THE GAS IF YOU PUSH THE GAS HARDER OR LET OF NO WHINE.I had an 04 v8 before this that had awhine also but not as loud .Some one on the lexus gx 470 site saidit is the torsen center diff they are alittle niosey the gx 470 people complain about it also.Drives me nuts.

Anyone have any input on this? I have an '08 V8 that has this whine. Happen 30+mph under light throttle. I have approx 9k miles and have heard the noise almost since new. My mothers '05 V8 has simialar noise but not as loud. Not sure if I should ever bother bringing it in to dealer or if its normal. Thinking of just changing the rear diff fluid during the 15k service and see if it makes any difference.

They're gonna make some noise. Some high quality gear lube like Mobil1, Redline, Amsoil or Royal Purple in the axles and t-cases may help a bit; it certainly won't hurt. I have Amsoil in mine and in 4HI I hear it but not bad at all. The radio on very softly drowns it out...
