'08 FJ TRD/Bilstein Shocks with Stock 4Runner Springs

I have a quick question that I could just not find the answer to:

Has anyone installed the TRD/Bilstein SHOCKS from an FJ on the front of their 4Runner, but kept the 4Runner stock SPRINGS?

If any of y'all could provide me with an answer or just point me in the direction of the proper thread that would be great! I've found a lot of people who have swapped the SPRINGS and the SHOCKS, but I haven't had any luck finding anyone who install ONLY the SHOCKS on the front. Thanks in advance!



Just a thought, would there be any benefit to swapping out the rear, stock, 4Runner shocks with the stock FJ rear shocks (NOT TRD/Bilstein)?

07-09 FJ struts/shocks are a direct swap.

10 - Present need some work.

Replaced XREAS on my 04 SE V8 with 2011 FJ TRD Off Road Pkg Bilsteins using stock 4Runner springs. Works great. Straight bolt in.

Glad it worked, everything I read said you had to mod it slightly.

If anyone else is looking to try it I have a set of plain tokicos from a 2010 4x4 for free. Just pay shipping or come pick them up. They have approx 10k miles on them.

Sweet! Just the answer I was looking for! Was there a noticeable difference in ride quality/handling??

The ride is firmer then the worn XREAS shocks I replaced but not harsh by any means. I personally feel the ride and handling are perfect.

How much lift did this give you? I have an 03 with v8 (xreas)
