12v for 50w Bass tube in cargo area

I want to put an 8" 50w Bazooka powered sub in the back of my 3rd gen. If I tapped into the accessory plug that is back there, with a fused line, for the 12v power, would that suffice, or should I run a fused line all the way to the battery? If I should go to the battery, where's the best place to go through the firewall?

If you're running an amp, then you need to go straight from the battery.

Best place to do so is through the driverside firewall grommet that the Body ECU goes out of

Don't knock until you have heard it. Corner load one of these little suckers and it makes a huge difference. Besides, the rest of the system is a kenwood double din with factory speakers. Sounds good to us. Not trying to win any competitions with it.

Forget the original question, I am going to wire + to the battery. But is there a decent spot in the back to run ground to?

The strap loops are a good ground in the cargo area.
