Well I showed up at the dealership today and guess what? My vehicle that "doesn't offer accent lighting for the radio" now does according to the dealership. They ran diagnostics to determine that "they think there is some bad wiring in the headset unit". A new radio is on order. They said the ETA is 1-2 weeks.
