Hi, everyone! I finally got the car of my dreams, after years of saving up, and months of searching on all the sites, travelling across state lines.... She's had a lot of problems since I got her, and it's been slow going trying to figure out what even needs to be repaired/ replaced. I wish I were writing this with just those problems.... but SOMEONE IS ACTIVELY TRYING TO STEAL HER!!! This most recent morning, I noticed all the screws for my hard top had been loosened. Now I have to go in and figure out how to get them all back in right, as well as researching alarm systems and security cameras.

Is this part of owning this rare vehicle? How do you guys protect your precious Runners? I want to cry.

Man, for someone to know the exclusivity of it would mean they too are part of this community, but is heartbreaking to know they would even consider stealing it.

Get yourself a really good steering wheel lock and probably a kill switch. But that won't stop them from meddling with your top

That sucks FrankieB. I saw a top on KSL for sale last week for $175 but it's gone now. I considered picking it up just for glass and trim pieces. I got a club but I would recommend changing out your door tumblers. In high school I remember a couple of my buddies had a Toy pickup and a corona wagon. The keys/tumblers were so worn out that they could unlock and start each other's vehicles.

That's really unfortunate. My buddies Landcruiser recently got stolen and the stolen vehicle even got a ticket a few weeks later!! Never recovered... insurance bought him a taco tho!
