This is kind of odd to explain but here goes nothing. I have a 96 T4R with roughly 180k KM on it, the truck is standard. When I get into the truck and put the key in the ignition sometimes the truck will start turning over and then stop and then it just clicks. I will take my foot off the clutch push all the way down and try again sometimes it works other times it doesn't. This is also the case if I take the truck out of gear and push the clutch bypass button. Sometimes she will turnover over and start or sometimes i get just the clicking sound.
Details:
This happens most mornings when the morning dew is heaviest. (southern ontario). It does not happen as much when the truck has been driven and is warm. I have tried parking the truck on flat ground on a hill forward and backward and nothing has seemed to change it.
Also thinking of checking the clutch switch for when you press the clutch down to start.
A little direction on what it could be would be awesome. I haven't gotten to look at the starter yet to see if the plug is all the way in or if the contacts are real bad.
