2 JL 12"W1 or 1 JL 12"W3 ???

Trying to decide if i should run 2 W1"s or just 1 W3. I have a JL 250/1 amp.

Why would I need a different amp, the W1 handles 125rms and the W3 is rated at 300rms. 250 watts rms is plenty, plus Im not trying to go deff anymore. I did enough of that when I was a kid.

From what I've seen the w1's will take 300 each and the w3's will take 500 each. I think the w3's look a lot better.

What size are you going with?

get 2 12w3s in the ho box from jl audio, i have the 2 12w3v2 in ho box with jl 500/1.

The W3s will not take 500 watts of true power! I've seen people who have put a single 500/1 on a W3 but the gain was turned down significantly. I've got 500/1 on a W7 with the gains about 3/4 and its all I can take.

I would do the single W3 with the 250/1... You will not be disappointed with either setup you pick though!

Mount it up to be easy to remove to load the Runner up with gear, and you don't need 2 since you're not into db drags and stuff, that'd be a waste of space and $, IMHO...

Dynamat works wonders in the back hatch too!

w/the amount of power you plan on using just get one 12" or even a 10" for that matter don't spread that small amount of power over 2 subs

I would get 12w3 or even a 10w6. They all sound good. IMO 2 12's is a waste of space.

250/1 won't be enough for a 10w6...

But if you want to buy a new one in the box, send me a message.

If you have a JL 250/1 amp and want to keep that amp, i would sugest running 2 W1's But the real question is, what are you looking for? The most bass you can get? Or the cleanest bass you can get? If its the most...the 2 W1' s it the right way to go...you will be almost doubling your cone surface area...therefore adding +3db from the extra sub. If you want a cleaner bass...but not as much...go the W3 route. In my opinion thoug...if the rest of your system is pretty much stock....why go for ultra clean bass b/c the rest of the system isnt up to par. go with the W1's.
