i'm waiting for my eclipse avn5435 to arrive. i have the jbl 10 speaker system. i'm going to bypass the jbl amp all together. i don't want to splice into the factory wiring to power the aftermarket head unit. anyone know if this 20 pin wiring harness exists. for the JBL people who hooked up aftermarket HU's, how did u power up your HU?

If you are going to run amplifiers with the new head unit, you can just run the speaker wires to where the factory amp is and tap connect to the factory speaker wire harness.
Thats what i am doing and it works fine. The only recomendation i have is may be put some coax speakers in the back dores to eliminate the rear tweats, then go get the mirrors from the non-10speaker for backing up

RXvedub, I've thought about doing the same thing with the rear speakers. Do you know how much the mirrors cost that normally go in that area? Also, how hard would it be to remove the existing speakers, can you just pop them out or would you have to remove the whole panel? I'm thinking you probably have to remove the whole panel, since nothing seems to be simple as far as the JBL system goes in this truck.
