I recently installed a Sony XNV-770BT which I am completely happy with. Yes, it too, sticks out of the fascia plate on the topside, but there is no way around it. Regardless, I could NEVER go back to the factory option.

I have a pioneer AVH-P1400DVD that replaced an old pioneer that was in there when i bought it. I love it fits great has usb and aux inputs, easy to use, good touch screen, and has pandora. There is a model with nav but i didnt get it since i can just use my phone when plugged in the directions go though the car speakers. I'm pretty sure i bought it and had it installed for $400 all told. Now just need to fix the rest of the system that the previous owner didnt put together that well.sigh.

I just replaced my factory JBL with RDS & without NAV this past weekend.
2003 Limited.
I replaced the stock subwoofer because the original JBL was totally blown. There was no rubber left on the surround of the cone. replaced it with a Kicker and used stock amp to power it. Plenty of tight sealed bass.
I'm planning a full write-up on my experience with this install, as soon as I get all the pics and info together.
I retained the stock speakers, JBL amplifier and all wiring.
I used a PAC TATO to integrate the new HU with the Stock JBL amp and a PAC SWI-RC to retain the steering wheel controls with the new HU, everything works great and sounds WAY, WAY better than stock. I think the JBL amp and speakers are higher quality that the average OEM speakers and the weak link in the JBL Synthesis chain is the stock head unit (HU). The stereo separation with my new system is incredible compared to stock.
I have a JVC KW-AV61BT
used a Scosche trim kit. I am ok with the fit. Yes the new HU does not match the dash lines exactly, but it is aesthetically appealing nonetheless.

i replaced the stock radio with pioneer avh 4400bh...fits perfectly like a factory hu..u gotta buy a dash kit for a perfect fit
So yours doesn't stick out on top like the picture above? What dash kit did you use?

Doesn't look like they have kit for the non-JBL dash.

That really depends on the radio, mine sticks out but I bought one with a removable face so I wanted it to not sit flush because I remove the face plate, and it's a little thicker.

it all depends on how big you want it, mines on the smaller side but fits in nice and snug. If you want a bigger screen chances are it will stick out.

Do you think the 95-8210 would work in my '04 Sport Edition (non-JBL)? The reviews are kind of contradicting. I have a Kenwood DDX470 and was hoping to have it sit flush.

I have the Sony DIN,
It sticks out a little. At first it bugged me but now I dont even notice.

I just put in an alpine ine-s920hd, I love it, did a lot of research before I bought it, has the fastest / most accurate gps according to crutchfield testing.
If I was to do it again though, I'd go to best buy (or some car audio store) and mess around with a bunch in person; this Alpine sounds great and is amazing, but it takes about 15 seconds to boot, and there are some other units with more / better features.

I just ordered this same exact stereo. Like the looks. Where did you run the BT microphone, and do you have any reverb or echo?
