2006 Audio System

Just wondering what the Mini Plug is on the 2006?? Is it where you plug your Ipod or MP3 player into audio system.

It's on the front (inside) side of the center console, near the bottom.

I know someone has posted pics of the mini jack plug before, I just cannot find them.

Certainly would be nice if someone familiar with their location helped us out here.

I think the placement of the jack is pretty good. With a short cable, you can have it come out the side of the center console, and sit on the flip-out part of the armrest. Then, when you're done with it, you just stick it back in the center console. Nice and easy.

It is I with the pictures....Here I have it in the little cupholder thingy in front of the armrest, I now let it sit on the armrest, I like that better.

Any problem with sound quality? When I tried to run my XM radio through that jack using a Radio Shack cable I had engine noise and decreased volume.

My Ipod sounds awesome through it, but my Sirius does have engine noise. It gets a high whine sometimes when I accelerate. I may try a different cable, but it works good for the Ipod.
