I'm on 3 of 4 original wheel bearings. The only reason I replaced the 4th was due to a mechanics error and it was replaced for free.

It sure did. Truck is running rub free all loaded up.

Your 4Runner is looking great! I'm thinking of going with the same tires- how hard was it to fit the 285/75r17s? Looks like the cab mount chop and caster adjustment were needed, but how much trimming?

Just got back from a 600 mile road trip to New Mexico. Falkens are sweet. The highway ride is smooth and quiet...and the offroad capabilities of these tires are seamless. Having had other tires such as Duratracs and BFG KM2s and ATs...these Falkens are my favorites so far. They just transition really well along all terrains compared to the other tires I've run. I even looked at the tread, and the rubber just seems to be a bit more rugged then my other tires I've had (silicon compound perhaps?). Given the price, I think these Falkens are a solid offer. Snow rated and hella sipped. 285/75/17 is definitely the go to tire size on a built 4runner - if you run enough lift. I'm really digging this final setup on Earl.:sniper:

Agreed, we've been going to NM for the last couple years and love it. If our kids and grandkids weren't in CO we'd probably move there (and contribute to the unwanted population growth!)

#9 was in Bandelier National Monument - actually a really awesome historic area. We made a big loop from Cimmaron, Red River, Taos, Los Alamos, Jemez Springs, Bandelier NM, Vadito, and back up.

I agree - Northern NM has a lot to offer outdoors without the Front Range masses.

Cool, I thought so. We were there last Summer but didn't recognize that particular ladder. Very cool area.

I wanted to upgrade my lighting before winter ski season starts.

Went with new headlights, painted black, with Morimoto D2S 4.0 with CBI bulbs. Amazing light output, well worth the time investment.

Nice build for sure! Mine has been done for years despite people saying builds are never done. Some of us like to drive instead of build!
