2008 T4R AC Compressor always runs in Def/Foot when fan is on and A/C is not selected

Fellow T4r's do you know how to turn off the AC compressor when the defog/foot option is selected and the A/C indicator switch and light is off.

I checked under the hood and the compressor definitely is on. I can understand if its on Defog that the mfg has decided the compressor should run, but with foot/def I want it off.

It wastes gas and also draws off the alternator for no reason, putting un-needed electrical load on the system.

The ac compressor runs constantly. It isnt a standard clutch type like your used to. It decides how much pressure is needed inside the system and runs as necessary. When it doesnt need the compressor driven the internal valves open and essentially acts as a clutch to disconnect power thereby NOT dragging on the motor. This is a good thing as it is always circulating oil to prevent rust or corrosion in the system.

I know it has an extra drag on the motor because when i'm stopped at a stoplight I feel the compressor kick in and then when I put it on foot or face the compressor turns off.

Do you know what I mean?
