2008 vs 2007

I have been looking for a 4runner with the 3rd row seat since February. The dealer just called and said they have one coming in but it's not the color i wanted and it has a few options that I don't care to have (Navigation System) and it does not have a few i want. Should I wait and order a 2008 to get want i want?

Yes. The way I see it, if you are not getting exactly what you want, you won't be truly happy with your purchase; no matter how good of a deal you get.

I agree with alpha to wait. Hunt around for the exact or near exact configuration you want. You are about to put down a good amount of money for something you will have for a long while. You want to be happy and satisfied with your purchase. You don't want buyer's remorse which you may experience when you settle for anything less as another 4Runner in the color you really wanted passes you on the highway. Life is too short. (Enough of my fortune cookie and bumper sticker proverbs)

Yes, just wait till you get what you want, i learned the hard way and settled for whatever was in the lot, i don't regret it but eventually you would want to change the whole appearance of the car...

Oh wait.. i think i'm just a MOD freak! nevermind..

Where are you at? I just test-drove a new '07 SR5 with 3rd row seats but ended up getting a Sport Edition without them. It's at Ourisman Toy in Chantilly, VA.

If you have the time, definetly wait for exactly what you want. If they do not make them that way, special order. Check my 'purchasing' page and use the spreadsheet I provide in order to negotiate the best price you can. Good Luck.

I live in Houston and I'm looking for the Limited w/3rd row seat! I decided to wait until i can get what i want since im paying $$$$ for it.

Definately wait if you're planning to drive it until the wheels fall off, unless you're going to sell it after a few years. Especially with color, you're going to see it everytime you walk up to your truck, you don't want to kick yourself and ask why you settled. Then again, I waited three months for my special order.
