2010 Center Console Latch

I went to close the center console, and it just popped back open. Upon further inspection, the latch had broken. I have spent some time browsing the interwebz, but cannot seem to find any tips on fixing this. It's not like i slammed it down, so I'm assuming this is a common occurrence?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi 2010Lim,

You probably need to replace the "lid latch assm" (pics of your's would be a great help) which can be purchased online for pennies on a buck if you do a proper search; see example link below:

I'v scoured eBay, but none of the postings fit 2010, or newer 4Runners.

Then you may need to go to the Toyota dealership parts dept and order the latch; if you could post a snapshot of yours someone may be able to help you... may just be bent or misaligned, no one can guess...
