2010 TE option question???

So, through a recent post I discovered that it's possible to get a TE with KDSS without having to combine it with NAV. Unfortunately, my region (Mid Atlantic) doesn't appear to offer this flexibility. From what I gathered, the Denver region does.

What I'd like to know is if there is a way to find out the exact regions that offer the KDSS only option; without going through painstaking Google type search. Any thoughts?

You can always do a custom order from anywhere and get exactly what you want. The wait time appears to be about ten weeks, give or take a few weeks.

Thanks, RyanS. I didn't realize I could separate those options and have already placed an order. I'll have to call my dealer tomorrow and weigh the consequences of changing at this point.

Everywhere is Colorado has just the KDSS. Just test drove one last friday. I'm yet to see one with the KDSS + Nav.

Toyota of Lake City will have one in about 2 weeks... in Shoreline Blue. A drive from Seattle to wherever you call home might be a nice way to break it in ;)

As long as the sales rep and dealer is willing to, you should be able to get a 4Runner with options you want exactly as defined on Toyota.com. Entering your zip code at the Buy A Toyota part of the site shows what available configurations are for your region, which some times will show options grouped together (or in packages, even though Toyota.com doesn't specify them as such).

Yep, that's what I did but KDSS was paired with Nav. I wanted a Shoreline Blue TE and had to order one...which I did about 2 months ago. Now, I see that some regions have the discreet KDSS option and it's been said that I could have ordered mine that way despite my region forcing the combo (dealer & website).

I'm not going to be happy with the NAV and now, with 20/20 hindsight, I'm wishing I'd known about this option so that I could have saved some $ and gotten a much better aftermarket NAV system. Eating the $200 down payment would be washed out by the savings of the new (non NAV) order but I'll likely need to go to a different dealer once I scrap the current order and there would be the restarting of the 3 month wait. Hmmm...
