2010 Wheel Q's and Interest - Flaking / Fit on a 4th gen

I'm looking at getting 2010 SR5 17's for my 4th gen and had a few questions.

There are many problems with the machined alloy wheels on 4th gens with flaking and bad clear coat. Do the 2010 wheels use the same process, or should they hold up better? Mine are 2003 and ready for the trash.

Also, will the offset and be fine for for a 2003 with the sport 17s? Basically will they just be a mount and balance wheel?

Anyone looking to sell a set? I have a set in sight for $550 shipped if anyone wants to do better on the price! I could use new tires too if you're looking to unload the whole set.

I have been doing some research myself on snow rims and found that the 4th and 5th gen have the same in every measurement. Bolt pattern 6x139.7, thread size 12x1.50, OEM hex 21mm, hub 106.0, OEM offset +8 mm. Hope this helps.

I hope they hold up better. I had a similar experience with my 2002 Tacoma wheels. They really looked like trash by the time I sold them. I guess it is a good excuse to change up the wheels though down the road. Good luck!

You didn't by chance get any FJ Cruiser wheel specs did you? I think I saw somewhere that the offset was different on those.

For 2007-2010 FJ the OEM offset is +15mm. All other numbers are the same.
