2010 with Bluetooth music streaming??

Hey guys, first post. Looking at buying a 2010 TE and I am not sure if Bluetooth music streaming was standard in 2010 and 2011 on the basic stereo. Just checking. Any help is appreciated. Love the forum.

I have a 2010 TE with the basic stereo and yes bluetooth music streaming is standard on that model.

I just figured out how to stream music from my iphone 5 in my 2011 SR5. Works well, BUT, it disables the phone, requiring me to put the truck in park and re-pair the phone. Until I can figure that out I'm playing music through the USB and keeping my phone on bluetooth.

Most have it...but....it was an option. I have seen the 4R without the steering wheel mounted bluetooth controls.

I am looking at my 10' brochure now and the....

"AM/FM/MP3 CD player with 8 speakers, integrated XM Satellite Radio, USB port w/ iPod connectivity, and hands free phone capability and music streaming via Bluethooth wireless technology (V6 Models only)

is listed under the "PACKAGES AND OPTIONS" for the SR5.

If it has the wheel mounts for the bluetooth then you should be all set to stream away, but some don't so just be careful!

Here is one without it...

Toyota then sold an 'add on' bluetooth module you could have installed at a later time just for the phone if you wanted it done. It was not the same as what would come from the factory and it was was shown on the 4Runner site under the accessories you could purchase. It looks like this same 4R had it installed because this was the switch that was shown on Toyota's site...

I do not believe it supported any kind of streaming of music though.

SR5 with basic stereo and yes I can stream.

If I recall correctly it's standard on TEs, not standard on SR5s. The basic stereo doesn't have bluetooth or XM and the actual text on the screen is bigger. My sister has the 2010 SR5 pretty stripped down and it does not have bluetooth or XM. This may have changed in future years, but that was another reason I opted for TE over SR5 - but mainly for the locking rear

I do not believe it supported any kind of streaming of music though.

I have the port installed add-on Bluetooth (same one pictured above) with the center console button on my 2011 and it can stream music. Here's a shot of the manual. Sorry for the crappy quality.
