2011 to 2014 Questions

Hi everyone. I have a opportunity but need a little help. Currently I have a 2011 SR5, I had a 2005 SR5. I have in front of me the chance to get a great deal on the 2014 SR5 Premium. I really like my 2011 only changes I would make would be leather interior and GPS. I also like the other changes that have been made. the only thing I am a little bummed about is the USB out of the glove box.

All that being said, is there anyone else out there that has gone from the 2011 to the 2014 and been unhappy with the change? Or really happy? I have seen that there is some "mirror whistle", anything else?

Are people happy with the GPS Nav? Does it play nice with the iphone 5 address book?

Sorry for all the dumb questions. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Rob

I went from a 2011 LE to a 2014 LE and couldn't be happier. Yes, the USB in the center is annoying, but a member posted a write-up on how to move it back to the glove box. I haven't done that yet, but I will be. NAV is much nicer in that the iPod/Phone/Voice activation is much cleaner and more responsive. Overall, the interior feels like a really big upgrade for me.

If you like the new front-end of the SR5, go for it...especially if the deal is really that good.

Rob, thanks for the feedback. I really appreciate it. Right now, the deal almost seems too good to be true, but it is. If you find the link, I'd love to see it for the USB to the glovebox. It's weird that it bothers me as much as it does!

I hear you, it's actually pretty annoying that it's in the center stack. Anyway, here is the link: http://www.toyota-4runner.org/5th-gen-t4rs/151658-help-moving-usb-center-stack-glove-box.html

also- the only reason I traded up to the 2014 was because I got an amazing trade in price on the 2011 and almost invoice pricing for 2014. That paired with a low interest rate on my 18 month finance, it was a no brainer.

They gave us a brand new TE to drive around while doing a service visit and fixing an electrical gremlin on my wife's LE.

The differences are superficial and imperceptible.

Maybe on the TE. The differences on the LE from 2011 to 2014 are far from imperceptible. To each his own though!

Was it a Trail Premium or just a regular Trail? I think the interior on the SR5 & TE Premiums are noticeably nicer.

It was the Trail Premium.

I had it literally next to my 2013 TE in the driveway for about two days.

It was cosmetically nicer and the interior looked better but I wouldn't think it'd be worth the investment for a trade.
