I have a question about the rear axle and suspension on the new 2012 4Runner. In the brochure(The brochure is actually for the 2011, but the dealer told me they were pretty much the same vehicle). it says that the rear suspension is:
"Coil Spring, Independent, 4-Link w/Lateral Rod Rear Suspension & Stabilizer Bar"
Is this in fact an independent rear axle? I was under the assumption that it was still a live axle rear end.
I'm hoping that it is still a live axle and that the brochure is just worded incorrectly.
