2012 sr5 wheel question

Hi, I'm kinda new here. I'm looking to lift my 2012 4Runner soon with an Icon Stage 1 lift. Once done, does anyone know if its possible to place 33" tires on the SR5 stock wheels? I'm just looking to save a little money until I can afford the right wheels which would be Pro Comp 7005's. Any info is appreciated.

285/70/17 will be your best size. I recommend getting wheel spacers "spidertrax 1.25"

Mainly for looks. I wanna ride on 33"s. I had an Icon Stage I on my '04 Tacoma, loved it.

I ran my stock wheels on 33's for a few months before getting my aftermarket wheels. You'll have no issues there.

That's what I'm thinking too. Save some cash theh buy the wheels I want. I like the stock wheels enought to run em for a bit.

look at the tire manufacturer's spec sheet, they ususally tell you what range of rim width a given tire will fit. should also tell you the tire section width for the median width in that given range.
ie. goodyear duratrac in 285/70/17: approved rim width 7.5 - 9.0, measured rim width 8.50, measured section width 11.5
(meaning on an 8.5" rim, this tire will measure 11.5" wide)
