lbrunner......you'll get used to the brake dive. I've got 310 miles on my SR5 now and I've learned how to feel the pedal better. Touchy pedal. Car's not diving nearly as much.

Also make sure you're out of "ECO Mode" or these will feel like dogs next to a V8. You're in 6th gear by 10 mph!! Mine feels much better when I row the gears and the mileage is still around 20.

The eco light just tells you that your RPMs are in a zone that's giving better mileage. It doesn't reduce power in any way.

Intruder........If I cycle my trip odometer button, I have the option to turn "ECO" on or off. Mine definitely shifts into higher gears faster when the mode is on--I think it's more than just a display light. Or am I crazy???? Don't answer that......

Nope, it's just a light. Look at pages 185 and 186 of your owner's manual.
